Otherwise, you could tinker with that project for another few months. And how much better would it get?
I'm reminded of a story Matt Damon told about being on set with Steven Spielberg. Damon did one or two takes on a scene, and Spielberg was ready to move on.
Damon said, "I'd like to get another take on that one. I think I could do it better."
Spielberg said, "Why?" He indicated everyone else on the set--all the camera people, gaffers, sound techs, producers, etc. "Do you see all them? You wanna waste everyone's time and money, for what? So you could maybe give a 5% better take? It's good enough. Let's move on."
Deadlines have a similar energy.
